This is what an artichoke looks similar when it somehow eludes the Chef's clippers as well as gets to flower. These delicious “vegetables” are zilch to a greater extent than than the large flowering buds of a thistle found (Cynara scolymus). It is non uncommon inwards San Francisco to run across them planted equally ornamentals. I’m non certain if “pretty” is the correct adjective; “interesting” is in all probability to a greater extent than similar it. Personally, I prefer mine much younger, as well as served amongst a garlic aioli.
